NSO: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Series

The COC-NSO: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Series is comprised of four webinars, which include: - Building Workplace Diversity and Inclusion: In this webinar, participants will examine diversity as an imperative and valuable asset for any organization, and explore the management of diversity and inclusion and overview best practices in light of current debates, issues, and challenges. Participants will leave with a highly practical understanding of workplace diversity and inclusion, and actionable and executable ways to leverage the value of diversity and inclusion in their organization. - Anti-Racism and Allyship: In this webinar, participants will explore the history and impact of systemic racism and racial injustice, and gain an appreciation of the importance of conversations about race at work. They will begin a journey of anti-racism through self-awareness and reflection, and strengthen their abilities to be an authentic ally. - Intersectionality and Building Safe Spaces: In this webinar, participants will discuss the benefits of an intersectional lens, enabling all employees to feel safe in expressing all elements of their identities at work without fear of repercussion. They will gain an understanding of consultation and the dialogue necessary to making the organization intersectional. Additionally, participants will address barriers to building welcoming environments and the creation of safe spaces for all voices to be heard and feel inclusive. - Inclusive Leadership: In this webinar, participants will identify sources of inclusion and gain an understanding of building a diverse and inclusive workforce with inclusive policies and transparency. They will learn to structure the organization and align diversity and inclusion initiatives to enhance key outcomes such as engagement and retention. Participants will build and strengthen relationships with members of diverse communities.
